my view of my own kintypes is spiritual; I believe my kintypes are me from past or parallel lifetimes and connected to my soul. i also believe you can gain kintypes through fusing in systems.
a lot of people separate their kintypes into categories based on how close they feel to them, from closest to least close using primary, secondary, and tertiary. that's how I have mine organized as well.
